Good morning!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I wanted to touch on a few things today and make a couple of announcements.

Inspiration
I want to talk a little bit about the affect you have on people around you. I was having a conversation with Chip Galloway, one of our 5:30 AM goers, and I was surprised at how it affected my actions. Chip has been a member for quite a few years and even he will admit that he has had periods of time where he is, how do I put it… absent from the gym. We were joking around about goals and how it’s better to just not set them so you don’t let yourself down. Well, Chip came every morning this past week. 5 days in a row for the first time in a long time. He admitted how it was hard to do it but by the end of the week he was grateful he did. Those actions really affected me and my motivation to start something I kept putting off. I have been saying, “I’m going to start running” for like a month now and haven’t. I finally got out and ran 4 miles and guess what? It sucked and I was super slow! But it’s a start.

We all need people in our lives that due to their actions, it motivates us to be better. At The Point we are surrounded by these types of people. Your actions affect those around you. So even when you think nobody is watching, they are and just by you showing up and reaching towards your personal goals, you can motivate others to do the same.

4 PM Open Gym
So I know there has been some confusion and changes with this over the past little while, so I wanted to clear it up so people don’t get stuck waiting for open gym on days that nobody is there. We have open gym every day at 4 pm except Mondays and Fridays. This may change as trainer’s schedules change but this is where we are at currently for open gym.
Keep your eye out on our Facebook Member’s Group Page because if sudden schedule changes happen, that’s where we will put them.

2020 Fall Lockdown
Week 1 is complete, 3 more weeks to go! We will be programming the week 2 workout tomorrow! You have until Wednesday to get it done.
There are still quite a few of you who have not purchased a shirt to register for this competition. I will leave it on the pre-orders list until Monday night, at that point, if I have you as part of a team, I’ll be hitting you up for the shirt size so we can get these ordered and try and get the shirts here before the end of the competition, if possible.
