Welcome to December!
Crazy to think that we are coming to the end of 2019. I hope you all have accomplished goals set early in the year and have new goals ready to tackle in 2020.
Twas The WOD Before Christmas 5
The week of our annual TWBC competition is upon us! We have 14 teams representing from CrossFit The Point at this competition! So excited to see you all compete. If you are not competing, you should definitely put it in your plans to come and cheer on our athletes!
Judges and Volunteers
Every year we are known to run a great competition and that is due largely to the caliber of volunteers we have helping us. I have created a page on Facebook for our judges and volunteers. If you are able to come out this Saturday any time from 6 AM to 4 PM, we could really use your help. Here is the link to the Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/548202655737230/
Jump on there if you can help out. For those of you who do not have Facebook but would like to volunteer, please email me so I can plan on you. The more we have the more fun and the smoother the day will run.
Judges and volunteers will receive a free shirt and lunch.
During this Thanksgiving time I have had some time to reflect on what I am grateful for. I am truly grateful for all of you for allowing me to do what I love. I am so grateful for your support and for your willingness to share and invite your friends to our gym.
It is so amazing to have a place where I feel comfortable being myself and a safe place where I can strive to improve myself and that is thanks to all of you.
A couple of exciting happenings. First of all, the December schedule change goes into affect immediately. Remember, you can always get on your pushpress app to see the up to date schedule or follow this link: https://thepoint.pushpress.com/open/calendar?framed=0
The highlighted changes are that we now have High Fitness 5 days a week! Monday and Wednesday nights at 8 PM, Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:30 AM and Saturday mornings at 7:30 AM.
We have also added Pop Pilates on Tuesday nights at 7:30 PM and Yoga on Thursday nights at 8 PM and we still have Myofascial Rolling Saturdays at 9 AM.
Just a reminder about our current Youth CrossFit schedule. With many of your kids finishing up their soccer and football seasons, this is a great opportunity to keep them active during the offseason.
We have Youth CrossFit ages 6-10 Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:30 PM and ages 10-13 at 5:15 PM. We also have CrossFit Teens classes on Mondays at 6:30 PM and Thursdays at 7 PM.
These classes are awesome for your kids. It’s so much fun and they are learning how to enjoy staying fit.
We are also looking to fill our 6-week Speed and Agility program. The next 6-week session will begin in January. If you have any teams that would be interested in snagging a training spot, please let me know as soon as possible. The earlier we get it started, the more flexible we can be for scheduling their times.
