Good afternoon CFTP,

Alrighty… This past Friday Night Lights was amazing! So much energy and cheering. It was such a great push from everyone. Thank you for that! It’s just what I needed!

On top of a great FNL, how great were all those pep talk posts and fitness in public posts?

It all started with an inspiring video by Helen Gardner talking about here journey and how she overcame some tough childhood trauma and was able to gain confidence through working out! Thank you Helen. I loved that. Then Reagan with his pep talk about being present. How it doesn’t matter what the score next to your name says but the fact that your name is on the board everyday.

We saw some awesome public fitness posts. Aubrey and Daphne out on the playground at school getting in a partner WOD, Erik Bowman humping a bar, Krishelle’s baby doing burpees, LaDee getting her team to do squats at work… and there’s a good chance I am missing a couple of more. But it has been so fun to watch as you all work towards those bingos.

We also have service projects completed by LaDee and Helen that have been put out there. On top of that… How bout those before and afters?!

I loved the post from Cami and her struggle with finding a balance and finding the right people to help her reach her goals. Also, the huge changes I saw in Cathy, Krystal, Helen, LaDee, Jeff… I am sure I am missing a boatload of people! My favorite thing about before and afters is not the body transformation but the mental growth that you all have gained.

I love seeing these posts! Why? Because I don’t think a lot of us understand what our friends at the box are going through or have gone through. It’s so cool to hear these stories and it’s inspiring. You are not only inspiring me but everyone who sees these posts. We all are going through something and when you see some of these strong members of our gym family share their experiences, it’s encouraging to know that we aren’t the only ones who struggle.

We aren’t the only ones who have to make the conscious decision to get out of bed and go to the gym. We aren’t the only ones who feel overwhelmed. We aren’t the only ones who struggle with eating disorders or who struggle with the way we look. We are all going through something and we can all get through it when we have friends in our corner.

I want to leave you with a spiritual thought from Coach LaDee:
“Feeling relieved!  No matter what happens in my life, I can rest assured that I have a God that offers amazing grace, unfailing love.  He will not be shaken!  I’m so thankful I don’t have to earn this because we all know I fall short every single day. Happy Sunday friends!”
