Good Afternoon CFTP,
Many times when attempting to run a business, you can’t see the forest for the trees. I was having a conversation with a CFTP member and they said some things that really helped remind me to step back and take a look at the forest. I hope this member doesn’t mind me sharing a bit of the conversation. They said that the gym is the only thing keeping them going… and that it has literally changed their life for the better.
When I opened CrossFit The Point, this has always been the goal. The goal was to create an atmosphere where members are able to come in and get away from all the stresses of the world. Where we all cheer each other on not only inside the walls of the gym, but also out in the real world. It was created to provide us all with a home away from home. This has always been our goal as the ownership of CrossFit The Point and will continue to be going forward.
You all have used CrossFit The Point as a vehicle to do amazing things. While we try to provide the means and atmosphere, it’s all of you who create the change. I have had the privilege to watch as members of our CFTP family overcame obstacles. I have seen individuals conquer diseases. I have been able to witness people able to get off of medications that they have been on for years. I have witnessed all of you shed fat and gain muscle. We have had 10-20… Or more, I’ve lost count, ladies stick with CrossFit and stay fit during their pregnancies. These women have amazed me and continue to amaze me as they not only grow another human but also take time to take care of themselves and to stay physically fit while pregnant.
I have had the privilege to work with each and every one of you and to not only coach you to move properly and to hit new personal records but you have allowed me into your personal lives and let me take part in your personal victories. Many of these victories I don’t share because they are personal but I thank you for letting me be part of your journey. If everyone understood all that you have overcome, they would be amazed.
I want you all to step back today and look at your forest of victories. Get away from all the trees that are keeping you from seeing the greatness you are creating. Take this time to forget about the failures that we all dwell on and focus on the victories. After you take a step back and see your own victories, step back a bit farther and look at what your fellow CFTP members, friends, family, and coworkers have accomplished since you’ve known them. Send those individuals a message and let them know how proud you are of them. It’s overwhelming how much good you all bring into this world and how much progress you all make day in and day out.
Myself, Emily, Dave, Aubrey and our coaching team will always strive to provide you with the vehicle to make you successful. I am so grateful that you allow us to be part of your lives and that you choose CrossFit The Point as your box.
Lockdown starts this week! If you haven’t signed up… Do so ASAP! Sign-ups are on the front desk. The WODs have been created. Everyone should join us on this… It’s the best first competition because it’s all done at your regular hours you’re coming anyways and it’s done with your CFTP family.
We’ll announce WOD #1 Thursday night… Get excited!
This starts this week too! Tuesday 4-4:45 PM. Come on in with your kids a bit early on Tuesday and we will get you all signed up! There are two ways to go about attending this class. You can pay the monthly $50 or if you can’t make it every Tuesday and Thursday, you can buy a punch pass 10/$75. I am really excited to get our teens involved in CrossFit!

7,8,9 AM ONLY!
Barbell Club Members who have signed up for the current 6-week course, your Monday session will be at 10 AM with Coach Colunga.
Also, 5:45 PM will be open gym Tuesday-Thursday this week to accommodate our Foundations course.
