Good Morning CFTP Members,

Good week, eh? So much fun… I feel like this week has flown by. I have had some great conversations with many of you this week talking about things from your progress and your motivation. I had a really good conversation with Nicole about motivation that I would like to share with you.

She has been with us for about 6 months now and I was interested to see what motivates her to be so dedicated. Her answer impressed me and I believe it is something we all should do. She told me that she has made a list of things she couldn’t do before CrossFit but can do now because of the strength and energy she has gained since starting here. When she is feeling down or tired or stressed and feels like she doesn’t want to come in she looks at that list and realizes what CrossFit has done for her and continues to do for her. CrossFit will change your life if you let it just as it has changed Nicole’s life for the better.

I love the quote, even wrote it on my brick in the gym, that says, “One of the greatest moments in life is realizing that two weeks ago your body couldn’t do what it just did.” Seeing that improvement is a key to success. I wish we could all go back to our first day of CrossFit and watch ourselves do our first WOD. It would be quite entertaining. We all have worked so hard to get where we are now and for those of you who are just starting out, we all have to start somewhere. Don’t compare yourself to others in the gym. Use their success to motivate you not demotivate you. Our athletes are getting stronger and it is because you all are putting in the hard work.

Lastly, I am going to be leaving next week to Thailand. We will be having new trainers coming in and covering the classes. These trainers have my confidence and I back them up 100 percent. Some are newer trainers and some have some experience. Give them a chance to teach you. They all have something they bring to the table. This is a great opportunity for you all to learn something new. I know I should be excited to go to Thailand but I hate missing all of your accomplishments. I want to come back and see your improvement. Work hard while I am gone!

Thanks for being such great members.
