Good Morning CFTP Members,

Only three days till the Lurong Living Paleo Challenge! I am so excited. We have a few people sign up and quite a few still on the fence… This challenge is going to be epic! It will quite literally change your lives. So let me tell you how it is going to work.

We will be doing three benchmark WODs at the beginning of the challenge. I plan to schedule them into the programming next week on Monday 17 September 2012, Thursday 20 September 2012, and the last one on Monday 24 September 2012. This will be your baseline for the competition. We will complete these three benchmark WODs at the end of the competition to see where you have improved. If you have signed up for this challenge you must complete these three WODs so if you do not do them on the day it is scheduled we need to get you to complete them on another day at the beginning of the competition.

Throughout the challenge we will be scheduling skill WODs that you will complete to earn more points toward your final score. The more you complete the higher your score and the better your chance will be to win the individual prizes. We will also be measuring your bodies, taking pictures, and weighing you in at the beginning and the end. We will see how Paleo has changed your physical appearance and your performance. You will also be accountable for what you eat. The more strict you are the better your score will be.

While there are prizes to be won the most important part of this competition is the change it will make in your life. I have been doing Paleo for the past few weeks, with some exceptions, and can tell you that it is not going to be easy especially at first but within a week you will see a difference! It takes a dedicated person to stick to Paleo and the fact that you all are here CrossFitting tells me you will be ready for the challenge.

As a gym we will be offering a watch to both the male and female winner. They are Rockwell Watches and are worth $100 plus. We will also be making some awesome shirts for those who participate. I know that $50 seems like a lot to pay for this competition but for what you are getting it will be well worth it.

Here is the basic Schedule for the Challenge:

  • Challenge starts September 17th, 2012.
  • Weeks 1 & 2 Competitors will complete 3 Benchmark WODs, start eating Paleo, take body measurements, upload before photo and make personal and fitness goals.
  • Weeks 3-7 Competitors Compete in 5 Weekly Performance WODs.
  • Weeks 8-9 Competitors will repeat the 3 Benchmark WODs, retake body measurements, upload after photo, upload video testimonials, and finish tracking goals.
  • Challenge Ends November 18th, 2012.
